Hurrican Sandy relief efforts in conjunction with

Just like the New York Strangers, the CAAAV organization is a club dedicated to helping the Asian American community.  CAAAV is still continuing the efforts to help the victims due to Hurricane Sandy.  Vivian Troung, the program coordinator for CAAAV had reached out to the Strangers asking us for help to see if we would be able to help bring over supplies to the relief tent over in Staten Island.  The club gladly went over and picked up the supplies and dropped them off.  It was a great feeling to know that sacrificing a few hours in a persons day could bring a smile to a few peoples faces.  As 2013 continues to progress, so does the efforts of the New York Strangers.  With Asian American Heritage month coming in May, the Strangers are making a concerted effort to bring the Asian American community together and to expand our services when possible.  We hope to see everyone out at our events and to start making the New York Strangers a household name in the Asian American community.
