On April 25, 2015, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit the small village of Barpak of the Gorkha district. With a death toll of nearly 7,000 and 14,000 people injured, the country of Nepal is in need of desperate funds to rebuild damaged homes, provide food and shelter and fund various campaigns to help the needed. The country is calling for foreign help and humanitarian aid. Unfortunately, efforts to deliver aid has been difficult to achieve due to landslides as well a poor weather. The United Nations is estimating that more than 3 million people are in need of assistance. According to their calculations, emergency funding of $415 million is needed to successfully help those affected.
